How alarming to be looking straight down the barrel of a cannon! Nice photoshopping out of the flag and 4th of July decorations in your last picture! Took me back in time, that last photo did.
ReplyDeleteNo Photoshop, nor did I remove anything from the photo! I simply shot from closer to the statue than I did in the first one, so the monument covered the flags. I didn't choose the perspective in order to hide the flags, I wanted a wide view that would show the entire building and some surround, but also to have the monument be sizable in the frame, so I had to get closer!
DeletePhotos can really move us around in our memories and perceptions, can't they?
Very nice! I'll be out there tomorrow with a visiting youth brass band from England, so this is a timely primer. :-)
