Why call it Bat Leaf, what can I say...it reminded me of a Batman cape when I did the black and white conversion. Robin seems to be in trouble.
What, a day without photos of Ziva?! If I get anything noteworthy this evening, I'll edit this post to add it. Popular demand, you know.
And here they are, Ziva Diva Devil Dog chewing a stick with ghoulish delight, and managing to look terminally cute at the same time:
(iPhone 5s - pardon the motion blur and "burned out" highlights, or like them for their "artistic" qualities, a cell phone photo in this kind of light is what it is.)

Whew. I was afraid I'd have to live through a morning without seeing Ziva. She is so adorable. She has such versatility and pizazz. I cannot ever view enough photos of her. Keep them coming, please!! The Ziva Diva Dervish Fangroup (oh, those other photos are nice, thanks).
ReplyDeleteZiva loves having a fan club! I'll keep the photos coming to the best of my ability. We may need a dedicated website for her!
DeleteOooo, yes, with a live video stream 24/7! Great idea, I'll look forward to that!
DeleteWow, 24/7!
Delete"Hey, wanna head over to the convenience store for a midnight snack?"
"Nope, I'm busy watching the Ziva Diva channel."
"Can't you just download the podcast?"
"What, and fall behind? Besides, it's better than those Norwegians watching the fireplace tv channel."
Ziva, like her Staff Photographer, reminds her fans that there's beauty in the mundane. I mean, a stick? Best toy ever!
ReplyDeleteIt's true, dogs (and many children) will often choose the simplest things to use as favorite play objects, in preference to fancy "designed" toys. I will say, though, that Ziva loves her cloth hedgehog, has figured out how to consistently make it do a super cute squeak (by biting the right way), and will carry it about the house, tossing and grabbing, shaking, etc. Predator instincts, huh? But as I write this, I'm watching her out in the yard, chewing a stick that she found. And that was after a 2 second 20 meter dash to chase a squirrel up a tree.
DeleteOh, how cute!! I can just imagine her with her beloved toy! I can also just imagine the ruckus she's created in the squirrel world!! How cute and funny!! Go, Ziva, go!
DeleteI try to keep the squirrels safe, but, yes, they are more vigilant now!
DeleteThis is how I think the squirrels within Ziva's range react to her:

Ha! I'm impressed that you've looked back at an older post and found this. Sometimes the squirrels just freeze and stare for a moment. The thing is, if they do it while on the ground or low on the tree, a lightning bolt named Ziva may head their way.
DeleteHow's Ziva doing today?
ReplyDeleteI've resorted to reading made-up cartoon stories about dogs. This one is GREAT: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/dog_paradox.
DeleteThis one is better: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/dog_how_see.
DeleteThose Oatmeal cartoons are classics. I enjoyed the reminder, thanks!
DeleteI got a different kind of shot of Ziva today, and will probably post it tonight. Stay tuned!
