With some caffeine, I could do that!

A little dairy decoration, courtesy of the barista.  Camera and image manipulation: iPhone5s and Snapseed (a free app).  This will definitely not replace my professional camera gear, but it's fun, and can give very nice results with small, static subjects, for my taste.  Speaking of taste, the coffee was excellent.

    3. Well, I can't even pretend to any of those 10, so I'm probably not addicted! I do enjoy coffee, and drink a moderate amount almost every day.

  2. Pretty! I'll have to investigate the app and see what it can do. Might have to check out the coffee shop, too. :-)

    1. Snapseed won't replace Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop, but for accomplishing things on the phone (there's an Android version too), it's nice. Can't beat the price, of course.

New World Coffee Shop has some good sandwiches too. Too bad they're not free!

  3. I'm addicted to this topic! Found this today:
    COFFEE
Although many believe that coffee has been used since ancient times the first documentable evidence that it was prepared as a beverage similar to what we drink today only dates to the 15th century. Monks at a Sufi monastery in Yemen instantly praised the first cup of hot coffee as a gift from Allah. Despite the widely held belief that coffee is native to Brazil it was not introduced to that country until 1727.

    1. Thanks for that reference link! Many of the most widely cultivated plants are now grown in areas where they were introduced by humans, not to mention that so much plant life has been drastically altered by selective breeding and hybridization. It seems that coffee only became popular in Europe in the 17th century:
