Butterflies in Flight, Milkweed Runway

Asclepias is the genus of milkweed plants. This clump formed a busy runway for butterflies yesterday afternoon. For a minute or so, the landings were more frequent than at O'Hare and Heathrow combined.

    1. Thank you. It has been a little difficult to get back to blogging, as I'm still working on a suitable memorial or celebration of Photon, our wonderful canine companion, lost to us July 14. I have a few other posts in draft form which should be ready to go live pretty soon.
